Remove Duplicate Pages

Drop pages that were scanned or inserted twice.

How it works

Pages are compared by appearance using a perceptual fingerprint, so a sheet that went through the feeder twice is recognised even when the two scans are not byte-identical. The first occurrence is kept and later matches are removed, with each removal reported against the page it matched. Blank pages are never treated as duplicates of each other, because they always look alike.

Questions

How does it decide two pages are the same?
By how they look, not what they say. Two versions of one form can match closely, so check the result.
Which copy is kept?
The first. Later matches are removed.
What about blank pages?
They are left alone. Use Remove Blank Pages for those.
