How it works
Scanned pages often sit off to one side, because the sheet was not square in the feeder or the scanner cropped tight to what it found. Centring places the content symmetrically, which makes a document look deliberate and prints more predictably.

Questions
- Does it change the page size?
- Only if you ask it to. By default each page keeps the size it had.
- Is content ever cut off?
- No. Pages are scaled to fit when the sheet size changes.
- How is this different from adding margins?
- Margins grow the sheet. Centring moves content within it.
